What is the effect going to be of allowing this massive amount of radiation in water and/or milk as well as juice on children's health, knowing that they are up to 2,000 times more sensitive to the same dose of radiation compared to a healthy male adult?
First, the EPA can find 80,000 picocuries per liter and say the water or milk is still ok to drink, because that level would be below their minimum 'action level'. But what does this minimum action level really mean in terms of effect on health?

Now that same rate of 'acceptable risk' has lowered this standard, so that a worst case 1 in 1.7 per person CANCER RATE is still ok, with no 'action' or intervention needed.
According to Enviroreporter, the cancer rate from this supposedly NEWER AND MORE RECENT legal amount of radiation in water, milk or juice could cause cancer in a range of 1 out of 1.7 people to 1 in 10 people. In other words, if the legal maximum was allowed with no ability to sue anyone for anything, a large number of people would get thyroid or other cancer from an invisible radiation that could come from a nuclear accident such as Fukushima, TMI or Chernobyl.

Is it any surprise that thyroid problems and thyroid cancers have increased since 3/11 inside the US? Why is the mass media so silent on these issues? Why are they refusing to cover this kind of news?

Another effect would be that in case of radioactive contamination of water, milk or juice, no one would have to be notified unless the 'safe' PAG limits above were exceeded. In other words, no warnings or advisories would be issued until the radiation exceeded the amount that would cause cancer in just about every person exposed. This has already happened in Tokyo, which should have been evacuated, but it wasn't, because there is no realistic way to do it.

The NRC and EPA are 'captured' government agencies, which are controlled by the nuclear industry. The cancer rate around nuclear plants is much higher for children than anywhere else. But the EPA refuses to act on this information from many studies.
The incubation period for cancer from a nuclear accident fallout exposure event is between 1 to 20 years, documented by many studies and the Chernobyl nuclear accident. But the nuclear industry and government will not tell anyone that.
The cancer does not identify itself and say; "I am a hot particle in your lung or liver or whatever body gland/organ which came out of the Chernobyl, TMI or Fukushima nuclear accident, which is causing your cancer and death". Radiation is invisible, tasteless, odorless and will not warn you at all, even with deadly levels that can kill in a few minutes.

NO MORE EVACUATIONS DURING NUCLEAR ACCIDENTS OR DISASTERS
Imagine what happens if a nuclear plant melts down near YOU... What are the evacuation plans for your city? What is the plan for distributing iodine tablets in case of an accident? Most nuclear plants and emergency responders have no plan for iodine distribution, much less a realistic evacuation plan. Check and find out for yourself if you don't believe it. Call your local emergency response agency or organization. Ask them what the plan is for a nuclear accident or a nuclear bomb attack. Most towns and cities have no plan, and they do not even know anything about radiation or it's negative effect.
Another thing that this new standard means is that people would no longer be evacuated out of radiation 'hot spots' in case of a nuclear accident or radiation exposure event.
Around Chernobyl and Fukushima, tens of thousands of people were evacuated and got compensation for damages, plus free medical care. But they were scattered around the whole country and none of them were tracked as far as their health. This was done on purpose to prevent a large group of citizens harmed by radiation from getting together and exposing the coverup after Chernobyl and Fukushima.
PEOPLE ARE BEING FORCED TO MOVE BACK AND LIVE IN NUCLEAR FALLOUT ZONES, WITH NO WARNINGS, NO RIGHTS, AND NO MEDICAL CARE OR COMPENSATION FOR HARM BEING CAUSED
With this new, much higher and close to lethal radiation contamination standard, none of that will happen. People are being forced to live in very highly radiation contaminated areas with no warnings, no notifications, no evacuations, no right to sue, no right to medical care and no reimbursement for damages, because it is all 'legal' and below minimum action limit.
